Ask
As the 4th most popular search engine by market share, Ask is keeping pace with the bigger engines and is at least not losing ground (unlike MSN). Ask results are relatively reliable, but it is still trying to pin down an ‘identity’. Over the past couple of years Ask has shifted its presentation trying to cater to what users want, which is more and more customization of the user interface as well as more control over search results. These changes and approaches have met with limited success.
