Google Business Profile Optimization
Your Google Business Profile is the listing people see in Google Maps and the map pack. We set it up properly, keep it accurate, and manage it month to month so it keeps earning calls.
What does Google Business Profile optimization include?
Google Business Profile optimization means choosing the right categories, filling in every relevant field, adding services, photos, and posts, and keeping the business name, address, phone, and hours accurate. Management is the ongoing part: watching for edits Google or the public make to your profile, answering reviews, and posting updates.
Google ranks local results on three things: relevance, distance, and prominence. Nobody can change how far you are from the person searching. The profile is where most of the relevance work happens, and reviews plus consistent listings across the web build prominence.

Google Business Profile questions.
Isn't a Google Business Profile free?
Yes. The profile costs nothing, and you can manage it yourself. What you pay an agency for is the time and judgment: choosing categories, keeping the profile accurate as Google and the public suggest edits, writing posts, and replying to reviews every month. See local SEO pricing for what that costs.
What's the difference between optimization and management?
Optimization is the initial work of getting the profile right: categories, services, description, photos, and accurate details. Management is keeping it that way and active: posts, review replies, new photos, and checking for unwanted changes. A profile that's optimized once and then left alone slowly goes stale.
Can you guarantee a spot in the map pack?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. Distance from the person searching is one of Google's three local ranking factors, and nobody can change it. What we can do is make the profile as relevant and credible as possible, then track where you appear for the searches that matter to you.
Who owns the profile if we work together?
You do. You stay the primary owner, and we're added as a manager. If we ever part ways, you remove our access and nothing else changes. If a previous agency or employee owns your profile, we'll help you get ownership back first.
Can you fix a suspended profile?
We can work out the likely cause, correct it, and prepare the reinstatement request with the evidence Google asks for. Google makes the final decision, so no one can promise a reinstatement. Our guide to suspended profiles explains the process.
Do you work with service-area businesses?
Yes. Businesses that travel to customers, like plumbers or cleaners, should hide their address and list service areas instead. Getting this wrong is a common reason for suspensions. See service-area SEO for how we approach it.
Where this fits.
The profile does a lot of the work, but it ranks better with these behind it.
